The hike begins at Dana Village at 3, 937 feet height. Moving to the west <br \/>into the Dana Valley, you will make your way down the trail that leads to the Dana Biosphere Reserve. <br \/>Dana Biosphere Reserve is made up of four different bio-zones and is home to an amazing variety of plant <br \/>and animal life such as: the griffon vulture, the hyrax, the copper-blue lizard, and if you\u2019re lucky, the ibex or <br \/>desert fox. As you make your way through the Sharah mountains, enjoy the <br \/>views of the black mountains that line the trail, and take in the steep descents into the canyon below. The trail narrows slightly before reaching a <br \/>concealed plateau high above the incredible cavity of Wadi Syyagh. Just before you arrive you\u2019ll find the <br \/>Monastery in the cliff face. Take the Nabataean stairs into ancient Petra. Wadi Mujib is a mesmerizing canyon that stands high <br \/>above the Mujib River and stretches for 70 kilometers. The Mujib River in Jordan feeds into the Dead Sea, <br \/>which is the lowest point on the planet. On many of the excursions you\u2019ll have the opportunity to walk through <br \/>the water, under the majestic canyons and down into the Dead Sea. Sections of Wadi Mujib also include the <br \/>Mujib Biosphere Reserve, which is home to several endangered species.<br \/>After a magical experience, we continue to Amman. Upon arrival in Amman, we will visit the citadel with the <br \/>temple of Hercules, the Umayyad palace, the Byzantine church and the Amman archaeological museum. <br \/>Here we will see statues from 6,000 BC and the Dead Sea copper scroll.
